The President of Kosova, Vjosa Osmani has stated that after the terrorist act in Banjska, Zveçan, where Sergeant Afrim Bunjaku fell heroically, was without a doubt directed and organized by Belgrade, which aimed to destabilize Kosova and the entire region.

In an interview for Kosova Radio Television (RTK), Osmani emphasized that “for some time I have been speaking inside and outside Kosova about the danger posed by these groups, which have been trained by the Serbian army for a long time.”

She emphasizes that “these are mainly structures of a paramilitary nature, which are heavily armed with military equipment, are prepared to fight in a military style, and have been bringing weapons illegally to the north of Kosova for a long time. which culminated with the attack a few days ago, which, on the scale that was planned, was prevented by the Kosova Police with its professionalism and preparation”, while expressing her deep gratitude for the exceptional work of the Kosova Police in protecting sovereignty, state dignity, but above all the protection of every citizen of Kosova, regardless of ethnicity, from these criminal and terrorist groups”.

Focusing on the Kosova-Serbia dialogue, Osmani said that Prime Minister Kurti has expressed his willingness to participate in the dialogue whenever there is an invitation from the EU for dialogue.

Osmani underlined that “the agreement is not perfect for Kosova, there are some good things, while some that have their uncertainties, but there is an obligation undertaken to implement them”.

She was particularly focused on Article 7 and 10 of the agreement.

“The solution is that we have to sit down with the US, prepare our draft, present it to the US Secretary of State, which is in accordance with the Constitution of Kosova, in accordance with the decision of the Constitutional Court, in accordance with Mogherini’s letter which guarantees that no will have executive powers and in accordance with the US position written by Chollet and Escobar, who clarify that such a body will be a coordinating body and as such would not endanger the internal functionality of Kosova nor other constitutional aspects of our country”, declared Osmani on RTK, among other things.
