Today in Kosova is a day of mourning in honor of police officer Afrim Bunjaku, who was killed a day ago in the north of Mitrovica after a gun attack by an armed Serb group.

Prime Minister Edi Rama expresses himself in a status on social networks: “with respect for the Kosovo Police officer, Afrim Bunjaku, who gave his life in the line of duty”.

The President of the Republic of Kosova, Vjosa Osmani, in support of the Constitution of Kosova, decided that Monday, September 25, 2023, be declared a state day of mourning in honor of the police officer Afrim Bunjaku, murdered in the north of the country.

“The national mourning will be on Monday, while the State Protocol is charged with taking all the necessary measures for the implementation of this decision,” it is stated in the announcement of the Kosova Presidential Office.
