President Vjosa Osmani, at the invitation of the United States, participated in the high-level meeting dedicated to the agenda for Women, Peace and Security (WPS)

In the organization held at the UN HQ, Kosovan President Osmani, on behalf of the Republic of Kosova, spoke on the achievements and objectives of Kosova in regards to the implementation of the Agenda for Women, Peace and Security.
The Kosovan President highlighted the extraordinary role that the women of Kosova have played in peace and security processes throughout the various stages of history. Osmani emphasized that Kosova is already leading the efforts in the region for the implementation of this agenda.
Moreover, she also said that Kosova is ready to contribute at the international level for the implementation of this agenda, in which case she highlighted Kosova’s efforts to help women in Ukraine, Afghanistan and in every country where they are happening serious violations of human rights.
On this occasion, Osmani also spoke about the Global Forum for Women, Peace and Security, which is being held this year for the second time in Kosovo, and warned that Kosova will soon become the host country of the regional center of excellence for Women, Peace and Security.
According to a press release from the Kosova Presidential Office, Secretary Blinken’s Office highlighted Kosova’s achievements in this regard and the work of the President dedicated to this agenda, calling Kosova one of the best examples considering this commitment.
