The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, held a telephone conversation on Tuesday evening (September 12) with the United Kingdom’s Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, Lord Stuart Peach.

The key issue of the conversation was the meeting that Prime Minister Kurti will hold in Brussels with the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic.

In this conversation, as announced by Prime Minister Kurti’s office, emphasis was placed on the rapid, complete and unconditional implementation of the Brussels Agreement and its Annex agreed in Ohrid.

“They talked about current issues, including Kosovo’s relations with Serbia and the next high-level dialogue meeting on September 14th in Brussels. The need for the quick, complete and unconditional implementation of the Brussels Basic Agreement and its Annex agreed in Ohrid was attached great significance. They also spoke about the political and security situation in the region”, the announcement states.

On September 14th, the two leaders will be hosted by the high representative of the European Union’s foreign policy, Josep Borrell.

The latter together with the EU’s special representative for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak will hold special meetings with Kurti and Vucic.
