Finding the way to normalize the situation between Kosova and Serbia will be the main topic of the discussion today and tomorrow in Brussels by the leaders of the member countries of the European Union.

Tensions between Kosova and Serbia increased after the constitution of elected four mayors of municipalities in the north of Mitrovica were strongly opposed by boycotting local Serbs.

On June 22, the EU held talks with Kosovan Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic regarding the urgent need to de-escalate the situation.

After the meeting, Kurti said that early elections could be held in the north, but that everything should be preceded according to the rule of law.

While Vucic, stated that there was no specific guide to get out of the crisis in the north of Kosova.
