Borrell: I called Kurti and Vucic to an emergency meeting in Brussels! Primary for the region and the EU, new elections in the north

The High Representative of the EU for Foreign Policy and Security, Josep Borrell, has announced that he has called the Prime Minister of Kosova, Albin Kurti, and the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, to an “urgent” meeting in Brussels.
In a post on Twitter, Borrell writes that it is necessary to immediately de-escalate the situation and to hold new elections in the north with the participation of Serbs.
“I have called the leaders of Serbia and Kosova to Brussels for urgent meetings to find a way out of the current crisis. We need immediate de-escalation and new elections in the north with the participation of Kosova Serbs. This is primary for the region and the EU,” writes Borrell.
Prime Minister Kurti traveled this Thursday (June 22) to Brussels for the high-level dialogue meeting called by Borrell. Likewise, Vucic will travel to Brussels, but has refused to meet with Kurti.
