United Kingdom calls to Prishtina and Belgrade to urgently reduce tensions in the north

The British government has delivered an official appeal to Belgrade and Prishtina to take urgent measures to reduce tensions, also asking them to immediately engage in the dialogue led by the EU and start work on the formation of the Community of Municipalities with a Serbian majority.
“We call on Kosova and Serbia to show maximum restraint, avoid unilateral measures and take immediate action to reduce tensions,” said the British government.
London called on Kosova Prime Minister, Albin Kurti to ensure that newly elected Albanian mayors carry out their duties in alternative locations outside municipal buildings and that special police units are withdrawn from those buildings. Likewise, official London has called on the Government of Kosova to announce new and comprehensive elections as soon as possible.
