The spokesperson of the European Commission, Peter Stano  has stated that the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Policy and Security, Josep Borell has presented to the member states the measures that should be presented if the Prime Minister of Kosova, Abin Kurti does not take steps to de-escalate the situation in the north of Kosova.

He emphasized that the EU has not yet seen Kurti’s decisive steps necessary to de-escalate the situation.

On June 13, the Prime Minister of Kosova, Albin Kurti announced that he has sent Borrell a five-point plan that, according to him, would help reduce tensions in the north. He has also discussed this plan with the representatives of the QUINT countries.
