The President of Kosova Vjosa Osmani spoke about Kosova’s European path during her speech at the session of the European Parliament.
Osmani said that Kosova should never leave the Euro-Atlantic path. She added that the time has come for Kosova to take significant steps on the way to the EU.

She further added that Kosova and Ukraine share something in common, defining it as a story of sorrow in the common European land.

“Our patience does not run out. We will never leave our Euro-Atlantic path. We have never looked in any other direction and never will. We are not with Europe only with words but also with decisions. 100% alignment with EU foreign policy. The time has come for Kosovo to take significant steps on the road to the EU.

It is time for bold decisions and not for half measures. We are here with you and we are part of this family. We understand the challenges that await us, but Kosova has never sought and will never seek short cuts. We cannot have European unity without European values. Allow us the opportunity to showcase what we have achieved.

I want to thank you for giving me the great honor of being the voice of Kosova. I hope it serves as a bond between friends and a testament to what we strive to be. We must never forget where we came from. We must remember how we got here and who has stood by us in times of joy and sorrow. I chose to talk about EU values because they are what serve as our moral compass and guide us. I talked about how much we share with the EU and each of you. Kosova and Ukraine share a history of sorrow in the common European land”, Osmani was quoted as saying.
