Kurti: I will concretize the vision for the Association if there is compatibility upon its pillars

The Prime Minister of Kosova, Albin Kurti, said today that he will concretize the vision for the Association’s draft statute if there is compatibility in principle for its pillars.
Albin Kurti has stated that the statute of the Association of Serbian municipalities in the north of Kosova cannot be written without an agreement in principle. According to Kurti, alternatives for the Association texts cannot be written without first being agreed upon in principle.
“I can deepen it, i.e. the vision for the Association’s statute, but deepening vision, implies compatibility in principle.
So, when we agree in principle, including those pillars that you mentioned that I have said in principle, then we can freely deepen the text. But we cannot write alternative texts, between which an arithmetic average can be found without agreeing once in principle,” Kurti says, answering the questions of Kosova Democratic Party MP, Ariana Musliu-Shoshi.
Kurti said that his presented vision is based on the Croatian model for national minorities.
“My government did not agree with the draft of the managing team, as it imitated in content even form of the Republika Srpska in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Consequently, I have proposed a draft vision to implement article seven of the basic agreement and in relation to article 10, for which I have not received the approval of the other side first and then of official Brussels, which continues to consider this open issue…From now on we can discuss, within the frame of Brussels dialogue, the implementation of article seven of the agreement according to my vision presented in Brussels, which presents the letter and spirit of the Constitution of our Republic, the transatlantic consensus of democratic and liberal values “, he added.
