The French President, Emmanuel Macron and the German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz will meet today with the President of Kosova, Vjosa Osmani and the Serbian President, Aleksandër Vucic regarding the tensions in the north.

The meetings will be organized on the sidelines of the European Political Community summit in the Moldovan capital, Chisinau. The meetings will be held separately, where the focus will be precisely on finding a solution to the situation in the north and reducing tensions.

The tensions in the north of Kosova started after the Serbian community there did not allow the new mayors to enter the municipal institutions. This caused them to hold protests and clash with KFOR, injuring 30 soldiers.
