The High Representative of the European Union, Josep Borrell and the EU envoy for dialogue between Kosova and Serbia, Miroslav Lajcak met in Bratislava with the Prime Minister of Kosova, Albin Kurti. The main topic discussed in the meeting was the situation in the north of Kosova, which the EU’s chief diplomat declared as dangerous and unstable.

Borrell expressed the need to avoid the escalation of the situation, and to reach a solution through the dialogue between Kosova and Serbia, in order to restore the work for the implementation of the Agreement.

“I met Prime Minister in Bratislava to discuss the tensions in the north of Kosova. The current situation is dangerous and unstable. We need urgent de-escalation and a solution through Dialogue to get back to our work to implement the Agreement reached,” Borrell wrote on Twitter.
