The US condemns the unilateral actions of the Kosova government

The US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, has strongly criticized the measures taken by the Kosova government in the north of the country, stressing that these actions threaten stability.
“We strongly condemn the actions of the Kosova government that are escalating tensions in the north and increasing instability,” said the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken.
“We call on the Prime Minister, Albin Kurti to immediately stop these violent measures and to refocus on the dialogue facilitated by the EU,” emphasized Blinken.
These actions have sharply and unnecessarily escalated tensions, undermining our efforts to help normalize relations between Kosova and Serbia, and will have consequences on our bilateral relations with Kosova, according to US State Department.
“We call on the Prime Minister of Kosova, Albin Kurti, to change course and all parties to refrain from any further action that could inflame tensions and fuel the conflict,” the statement emphasized.
