Osmani: The Battle of Koshare proved that the sacrifice for freedom is high, but freedom has no price.

Kosova President, Vjosa Osmani commemorated today the anniversary of the Battle of Koshare, one of the most glorious battles of the Kosova Liberation Army.
Osmani, as it was announced in the communiqué, emphasized that the Battle of Koshare has strongly proved that the sacrifice for freedom is very high, but freedom has no price.
“Today we mark the anniversary of the Battle of Koshare, one of the most glorious battles of the Kosova Liberation Army. The heroic fall of the commanders Salih Çekaj, Agim Ramadani, Xhemajl Fetahaj, Abaz Thaçi and other combatant commanders proved that the Battle of Koshare has a place of honor in our collective memory. We bow before the bravery and sacrifice of the freedom fighters from Poroji of Tetova, Tirana and Tropoja, Tuz and Presheva and volunteers from other countries, who joined the fight of the people of Kosova for freedom and dignity,” said Osmani.
The “Days of Albanian” manifestations, which are dedicated to this glorious battle, are organized under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Kosova.
“May the memory be eternal and may the glory be immortal for the heroes of Koshare and the struggle of the people of Kosova for freedom,” added Osmani.
The battle of Koshare, on April 9, 1999, as part of the “Arrow” operation, was one of the bloodiest and most heroic battles of Kosova Liberation Army. The breaking of the border between Kosova and Albania marked not only a moral victory for the KLA, but it opened the way for the supply of weapons and logistical support to many war zones in the interior of Kosova.
