The 24th anniversary of the Izbica massacre in Kosova, Kurti and Osmani pay tribute: Serbia committed genocide in Kosova

The President of Kosova, Vjosa Osmani and Prime Minister Albin Kurti have paid tributes at the Memorial Complex in Izbica, Skenderaj, where on March 28, 1999, Serbian police and military forces massacred 147 people.

“The crime did not end with the murders and massacre of our citizens in Izbica, but it doubled when the Serbian forces exhumed the murdered and reburied them in mass cemeteries in various places in Serbia and Kosova,” Osmani said.

While Prime Minister Albin Kurti said that today those killed by the fascist and genocidal regime of Milosevic are honored and commemorated.

“The massacre of Izbica is evidence of Serbia’s genocide,” he said.

The massacre of Izbica is one of the most serious crimes of the Milosevic regime where the mass murder, the desecration of the bodies and their burial, through satellite images, became world news.

Meanwhile, after 24 years, none of the Serbian perpetrators and executioners have not come before any local or international justice court.
