Konjufca: The European plan contains ‘de facto’ recognition between Kosovo and Serbia! Once this agreement is signed, then we will talk about the Association

The Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Glauk Konjufca, declared this evening in an interview for the local media that the Franco-German plan contains “defacto” recognition from Serbia. He said that for this reason, Serbia had not agreed to sign the agreement because in article two the “defacto” recognition between the two states was defined.
“In my opinion, De-Facto recognition is when another state agrees that you exist absolutely as an independent state, that you undertake not to interfere in any of your internal affairs, not to interfere anywhere in the international arena, to recognize all that you produce, all the documents, from the passport, customs, goods, everything that the Republic of Kosovo produces with its logo, without any footnote, completely equal as states. This is the recognition that is being sought with the European plan. I think this is the reason, because of Article 2, that Serbia did not sign and I do not expect that it will sign it even on March 18. Prime Minister Kurti was ready to sign it even that day, but Serbia did not sign it. I think that this puts Kosovo in a favorable position”, said Konjufca.
