The US Department of State stated that the progress towards the establishment of the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority remains critical for building the future of Kosovo.

Through a statement, Department of State states that the US supports the dialogue mediated by the EU and that the agreement on the implementation annex is essential for the normalization of relations.

“The United States welcomes the leaders’ talks within the EU-facilitated dialogue on February 27 and strongly supports the process of normalizing their relations.

Yesterday’s meeting was a good step forward, but it remains a difficult task. The agreement on the implementation annex is essential for normalization according to the EU proposal”, reads the US Department of State’s announcement.
