Kurti and Vucic to meet in Brussels tomorrow/Escobar: We expect the signing of the European plan by both parties

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, and the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, will meet tomorrow,on February 27, in Brussels as part of the dialogue, where they will discuss the European Union’s proposal for the normalization of relations, known as the European Plan or the Franco – German Plan.
The European Union and the United States of America have said that they expect that both sides will officially and publicly accept the proposal, as well as discuss its implementation in the meeting to be held on Monday.
Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbian President Vucic will for the first time discuss the Franco-German proposal, targeting the final agreement between the two countries.
The advisor of the US Department of State, Derek Chollet, said that Kosovo and Serbia must implement the agreements that were reached in the talks mediated by the European Union and it is time to discuss the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority.
His statements come after a conversation with the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, on the eve of the meeting scheduled for Monday with the President of Serbia, Aleksander Vucic, in Brussels.
The US emissary for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, has said that the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia is key to regional and European stability.
Asked about the eventual signing of the German-French plan to resolve the dispute between Serbia and Kosovo in regional stability, Escobar replied that the normalization of relations between Serbia and Kosovo, through dialogue mediated by the EU, remains key for the region and the European one.
He concluded that normalization will open the doors for the political and economic integration of Serbia and Kosovo in Europe and will contribute to greater stability and prosperity throughout the Western Balkans.
