The deputy general director of the State Police, Sokol Bizhga, received in a meeting, the director of the Police Academy of Montenegro, Vladimir Stanisic.

During the meeting, both interlocutors focused on the good relations of cooperation between the police training institutions of both countries, as well as the importance of further strengthening of this cooperation.

Within the framework of the agreement between the Police Academies of Albania and Montenegro, with the aim of strengthening this cooperation, the parties will work on its concretization on the basis of a plan agreed by the respective police leaders.

During the meeting, the parties expressed their openness to cooperate on the creation of curricula, the organization of joint training courses, mainly for the Border Police, possible staff exchanges to refer issues, which are the focus of the fight against crime for both countries etc.

Mutual student visits were also proposed. Cooperation in this direction will also focus on joint scientific activities and publications in the field of order and public security.

The delegation of the Police Academy of Montenegro also met with the management staff of the Security Academy, the Rector of the Security Academy, prof. Ilirjan Mandro, the Dean of the Faculty of Security and Investigation, Albert Dervishaj, the Director of the Police College, Mitat Tola, etc. The focus of the meetings was the discussion on the areas in which the cooperation between the two academies can be further strengthened, in respect of the cooperation agreement between the two police training institutions.

The delegation from Montenegro was also introduced to the functioning of the Security Academy, where meetings were held with the main units and the heads of their basic units. Also, they assisted in an indicative lesson on vehicle control and home invasions. For the continuous follow-up of this cooperation, contact points were established between the two institutions.
