Kosova-Serbia dialogue, State Department advisor appeals to Kurti to accept the proposal for the normalization of relations

The senior adviser of the State Department, Derek Chollet, has held a conversation with the Prime Minister of Kosova, Albin Kurti, regarding the EU’s proposal for the normalization of relations between Belgrade and Prishtina, and has called on the latter to accept it.
“The main topic was our partnership and the common goal to advance the European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Kosova,” Chollet writes on Twitter.
He adds that he also talked with Kurti about the importance of the multi-ethnic character of Kosovo and the progress of the dialogue for the formation of the Association of Serbian Municipalities, and the need for representatives of the Serbs in the north of Kosova, who left the institutions of Prishtina due to violation of the Brussels Agreement, to return to their places.
The day before (January 24) Lajcak met with high officials of Spain, Slovakia and Cyprus on the issue of dialogue and speeding up the process. Lajcak emphasized that he also held talks with the Foreign Minister of Slovakia, Rastislav Kacer.
