Meeting between Kurti and 5 emissaries, Lajçak: meeting was not easy, but honest and open

After the two-hour meeting between Prime Minister Albin Kurti and five special emissaries for the Kosova-Serbia dialogue, the mediator of the European Union, Miroslav Lajcak said that the conversation was focused on the normalization of relations between the two countries.
“We are here with a powerful delegation from the European Union and the United States of America, as well as the senior advisers of Germany, France and Italy, which is a signal that we are committed to a normalization of Kosova-Serbia relations… We passed more more than two hours with the Prime Minister and this shows that the meeting was long, not easy, but honest and open,” said Lajçak for the media.
According to Lajcak, today’s discussions should be used as much as possible to achieve a normalization of relations between the two countries.
“…We have been waiting for a better understanding of the opportunity that this proposal offers… I hope to get there and use the full potential of this proposal… we will continue to work on this,” he said.
Lajcak and Escobar were accompanied by the three external advisors to respectively German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, French President, Emmanuel Macron and Italian Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni.
