Serbian Minister: Serbia, in favor of dialogue; NO recognition of independence and NO membership of Kosovo in UN”

“Serbia is always in favor of conversation and dialogue, but with very clear ‘red lines’: NO recognition of independence and NO membership of Kosovo in the United Nations”, said the Minister for European Integration of Serbia, Tanja Miscevic in an interview for DW.
Speaking about the dialogue between Serbia and Kosovo, Miscevic estimates that the last visit of the American delegation to Belgrade was “an incentive for something that was left unimplemented by the Brussels Agreement, which is the formation of the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority”. “This is not the caprice of Serbia”, says the minister, while adding that “it is an urgent need of the Serbs as a collective to protect their rights.”
The Minister for European Integration of Serbia, Tanja Miscevic, claims that Serbia does not lobby and is not against the liberalization of visas for citizens of Kosovo.
Answering the question, why Serbia does not impose sanctions on Russia and in this way harmonize with the EU’s foreign policy, the minister emphasizes that this is only one of the elements of the foreign policy and recalls that “Serbia supports the territorial integrity of Ukraine and condemns Russian aggression.”
