Kosova, the situation in the northern border gets tense, NATO and KFOR increase defense forces

The situation has become tense on Sunday close to Jarinja border crossing point, in the northern Kosova border, where some Serbian citizens gathered as a sign of protest, on the side of the Serbian territory, as a sign of support for the local Serbs, who have erected barricades in the north of Mitrovica.
With banners in their hands, Belgrade policy protestors pretend the unblocking of the border crossing point for Serbs from Kosova, while try to approach the border point, while they “were stopped” by the Serbian police, who placed a cordon between them a few meters away from the customs point.
In the meantime, on the other side of state border, KFOR troops are stationed on the Kosovan side.
After the tensions, KFOR and NATO have increased the protection in the area where the “protest” is taking place.
The illegal barricades still stand on of Mitrovica, as a sign of dissatisfaction on the arrest of the former Serbian officer of Kosova Police, a certain Dejan Pantic. The latter is suspected of having organized armed terrorist attack on the offices of the Kosova Central Election Commission earlier in December.
Since more than a week, two border points between Kosova and Serbia have been blocked by Serbian minority barricades by the northern part of Mitrovica.
