Attacks on EULEX, Borrell: EU will not tolerate them! The barricades must be removed immediately by the Kosovo Serb groups

The High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell, reacted strongly after the bomb attack on the EULEX patrol in the north of Kosovo. In a tweet, Borrell stressed that the EU will not tolerate such attacks and the use of violent acts.
He calls for the barricades placed by the Serbs in the north of Kosovo to be removed “immediately” and for the parties to avoid escalation.
“The EU will not tolerate attacks on EULEX or the use of violent criminal acts in the north. The barricades must be removed immediately by the Kosovo Serb groups. Calm must be restored. EULEX will continue to coordinate with Kosovo authorities and KFOR. All actors must avoid escalation,” Borrell writes.
An observation patrol of the European Union Mission for the Rule of Law in Kosovo, EULEX, was attacked with a cluster bomb (disorienting bomb) on Saturday evening, near Rudara, in the municipality of Zveçan. The news was reported by EULEX, who confirmed that fortunately no Police Unit official was injured, as they considered the attacks unacceptable.
