The Greek media have analyzed the Rama-Micotakis meeting on December 6 with the pending agreement on the sea. According to these media, the ball is now in Albania’s court, who must overcome the process that, according to them, is currently only political.

Although nothing has been made public about this, Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias made sure to meet with representatives of the opposition, who are also important.

According to the analyzis of Athens, there is a will from the Albanian leadership, especially from Prime Minister Rama. If this exists, the matter could be concluded within the next few months and certainly before the general election set for next spring.

Greece’s offshore expansion within this period would be a good opportunity for Micotakis to earn votes. According to Protothema (greek media), Greek chief-diplomat Nikos Dendias and his counterpart Olta Xhaçka have agreed on the coordinates of the disputed area last Friday.
