The EU-Western Balkans summit in Tirana, Vucic will not participate

The Serbian President, Aleksandar Vucic, will not come to Tirana on December 6 to participate in the Summit of the European Union and the Western Balkans. The reason, according to the Serbian media “RTV”, is the soft reaction of the EU to the appointment of Nenad Rashiqi as Minister for Communities and Return in the Government of Kosovo. As a result of this decision, Vucic declared that no one from Serbia will be in Tirana for the EU-Western Balkans summit on December 6.
“Rashiqi’s appointment is shameful, the mildest word that can be used. That man won less than 1% in the election, as did Rada Trajkovic who was on his list. This shows that they want the persecution and exclusion of Serbs from Kosovo and Metohia. I am not sure that tomorrow there will be a conversation with the European commissioner after my words and our decisions. That’s why nobody from Serbia will be in Tirana on December 6 for the first time,” said Vucic.
He accused the EU of anti-Serb attitude for the fact that it did not condemn the decision of the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti.
“Wretched, anti-Serb attitude, which they showed. I have been silent for months, years, I have suffered stupidity from everyone and in the region, in Europe. What he did today should have received the deserved punishment of the EU. Of course he didn’t. And this is how they behave every time”, said the president of Serbia.
According to Vučič, with the appointment of Rashiqi, not only the norms of the Brussels Agreement, but also public international law have been violated.
“All the democratic principles and norms have been violated, according to which someone is elected or the position is offered to someone who received a large number of votes and not to the one who received 1% of the votes”, emphasized Vučič.
