Borrell after the meeting with Kurti and Vucic: We have a plan for overcoming the crisis in the north

At the start of the meeting of the Foreign Council of the European Union, the head of the EU’s foreign policy, Josep Borrell, once again returned to the situation in the north of Kosovo, which has become significantly tense in recent years.
After the meetings he held at the weekend with Prime Minister Kurti and President Vucic, Borrell said that he has made a proposal to Kosovo and Serbia to overcome the situation in the north, after the departure of the Serbs from the institutions.
“We presented a proposal which should be discussed as a good way out of the situation. I must call on both parties to fulfill their commitments, respect the commitments and implement the agreements that were reached many years ago”, said Mr. Borrell, but without giving details of what it is about.
Tensions between the two countries increased after the government of Kosovo on November 1 began the step-by-step implementation of the decision to convert license plates.
