The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, said that Quint’s representatives have asked him for an urgent meeting, saying that the West wants a solution at all costs.

Commenting on the Franco-German proposal, Vucic said that it is a very difficult proposal for Serbia and that he is waiting for a new proposal.

“I’m waiting to see the new proposal, maybe it will give us a chance”, said Vucic.

He emphasizes that the West wants to resolve the Kosovo issue as soon as possible.

“The pressure on Serbia will increase because everyone wants an end to the Kosovo saga, so that they don’t have to worry about the answers they have to give to the Russians and anyone who refers to it. Western powers want to solve it. They will not choose ways and means to get there,” said Vucic.

As for Escobar’s statement that reaching an agreement is a matter of weeks, Vucic says that he has heard this in many conversations and does not believe that it is realistic.

According to him, Prishtina should establish the Association of Municipalities with a Serbian Majority.
