US Department of State confirms that it supports the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, for a final agreement that can be reached “in the coming days”.
Through the spokesperson of the Department, Ned Price said that the USA supports the European Union as a mediator of the dialogue and that they have been at the side of Kosovo and Serbia in reaching a final agreement.

“We fully support the dialogue mediated by the EU. This is why the US envoy, Gabriel Escobar, was in Pristina and Belgrade to support this process. As you know, the Secretary himself has been deeply engaged in this. He spoke with Serbian President Vucic and Kosovo Prime Minister Kurti at the beginning of this month, on October 11,” said Price, emphasizing that the Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, has asked for continuous and constructive engagement to ensure peace and stability in the region,”Price said among others.

We remind you that several important agreements have been signed between Kosovo and Serbia, one of which was the one mediated in Washington by former president Donald Trump, but the recognition of Kosovo by Serbia has not yet been achieved.
