The UN Security Council discusses the report on Kosova

The six-monthly report of UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres on the situation in Kosova will be discussed at a meeting of the UN Security Council scheduled for today.
Present at this session will be the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo, Donika Gërvalla, who will present the achievements of the Republic of Kosova, the challenges it faces, successes in the field of economy and rule of law, reforms in various fields as well as the country’s perspective.
Likewise, the special representative of the Secretary General (SRSG) and the head of UNMIK, Caroline Ziadeh, will also attend this session.
The report mentions the hardened rhetoric between Belgrade and Pristina and the escalation of tensions on the ground, alluding to the night of July 31, as the reason for the lack of progress in the normalization of relations in the period from March 16 to September 15, 2022.
The session of the UN Security Council is held starting at 15:00 (21:00 local time in Kosova).
