The Assembly of Serbia approves the report on the dialogue with Kosovo

The Assembly of Serbia approved the report on the dialogue with Kosovo on Thursday morning. For the approval of the document entitled “Report on the process of negotiations with the ‘temporary institutions of self-government’ in Pristina”, 205 deputies voted, while 57 were against.
The report lists the activities in the framework of the preparation and implementation of the negotiations, including: the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority, the police, the judiciary, energy, economic odes, the transport of dangerous goods, as well as the missing.
The only Albanian deputy in the Assembly of Serbia, Shaip Kamberi, during his presentation said that Kosovo is independent from Serbia.

Kosovo declared independence in 2008 and the International Court of Justice found in 2010 that its independence does not conflict with international law. Kosovo and Serbia have started negotiations for the normalization of relations in 2011, with the mediation of the European Union. The negotiation process is expected to end with legally binding agreements.

Kosovo says that this agreement should include mutual recognition, but Serbia does not accept, insisting on a “compromise solution”.
