The “Open Balkans” summit is being held today in Belgrade, the signing of the trade agreement is expected

Another “Open Balkans” Summit is being held today (September 2) in Belgrade. According to Tanjug News Agency, participants in the meeting are Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, North Macedonian Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski, acting Prime Minister of Montenegro Dritan Abazovic, Chairman of the Bonia and Herzegovina Council of Ministers, Zoran Tegeltija, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs Foreign and Trade, Peter Sijarto and the head of Turkish diplomacy, Mevlut Çavuşoğlu.
The summit is chaired by President Vucic, Prime Minister Rama and Prime Minister Kovacevski. The agreements on the removal of restrictions on the trade of food productst are expected to be signed durimng the summit. According to the agreements, Albania will supply coal to Serbia and North Macedonia to produce electricity within the region in the conditions of the energy crisis, while they will remove the restrictions to supply Albania with wheat, corn and oil on the condition that these products are not resold in another market. So, on September 1, the Wine Fair was opened in Belgrade as part of the “Open Balkans” initiative.
