“Open Balkans”Summit in Belgrade with innovations, Turkey and Hungary will join the countries participating in the meeting

The next summit of the “Open Balkans” initiative will have innovations, as the participants will not only be representatives from the participating states, but also officials from Hungary and Turkey.

In the next meeting, which is expected to take place on September 2 in Belgrade, in addition to Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, Serbian President Aleksanër Vucic and Macedonian Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski, the Foreign Minister of Hungary, Peter Szijjarto and the Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlut Çavuşoğlu will also be present.

The Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dritan Abazovic, and the Chairman of the Council of Ministers in Bosnia-Herzegovina from the ranks of the Serbian community, Zoran Tegeltija, will be also present.

So far, our country, Serbia and North Macedonia are part of the initiative, while Montenegro also expressed its desire to join, however, with the fall of Dritan Abazovic’s government, it remains to be seen whether this will be realized.
