Kosovo-Serbia dialogue/ Vucic after the meeting with Lajcak and Escobar: I believe in a compromise solution

After the meeting held on August 25 with the EU envoy for the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, Miroslav Lajčak, and the US special representative for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic made it clear that he will not give up the vital national and state interests, and above all the interests and security of the Serbs in Kosovo.
Vucic said that the talks with Escobar and Lajcak, attended by the US and EU ambassadors to Serbia, Christopher Hill and Emmanuel Giofre, will continue today (August 26).
“I believe in a compromise solution, nothing is certain. We will continue the talks, I believe that in the coming days we will be able to reach a compromise solution, at least for a small part, since it is clear that such a solution cannot be reached at all for the tables and some major issues” , Vucic said after the meeting with Miroslav Lajcak and Gabriel Escobar.
The Serbian president, after the second part of the conversation with the EU special envoy Miroslav Lajcak and the US envoy for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, which ended 15 minutes after midnight, said that nothing is certain albeit he hopes and that much guarantees and much more work are needed.
