Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue/ Meeting in Brussels, Kurti: EU can be more active and clearer, we expect more

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will meet for the dialogue between the two countries on August 18 in Brussels. The meeting will take place with the mediation of the EU envoy Miroslav Lajcak. In an interview for the BBC, Prime Minister Kurti stated that he expects more from the European Union within the dialogue process with Serbia. According to Kurti, the EU can be even more active and clearer.
Regarding the documentation on the Serbia-Kosovo border, Kurti said that he expects mutual applicability.
“We have the right to expect more from the EU, especially to show more clarity and determination regarding its positions, especially when it comes to events such as the recent barricades and incidents in the north of Kosovo. September 1 will be a normal day at the border points, either we will issue entry-exit documents, or both sides will cancel them,” said Kurti.
Kurti said he hopes to discuss the license plate issue with Vucic as part of current topics. Asked if this is his negotiation platform for the Brussels talks, Kurti said that he has already presented such a proposal to Vucic, in a meeting organized within the cooperation initiative of regional leaders Brdo-Brioni.
