The Minister of Defense of Kosovo, Armend Mehaj, received in a meeting the Director of the Coordination Center against Violent Extremism in Albania, Denion Meidani, with whom he discussed the security situation in the country and the region, as well as the possible trends of individuals or groups with radical behavior that negatively affects the creation of a calm and safe environment.

“The Minister of Defense, Armend Mehaj, received today in a meeting the director of the Coordination Center Against Violent Extremism in Albania, Denion Meidani, who was accompanied by officials of the delegation, Ermal Januri and Fatlinda Smaliaj.

On this occasion, it was discussed about the security situation in the country and the region, as well as about the possible tendencies of individuals or groups with radical behavior that negatively affect the creation of a calm and safe environment.

Among other things, in this meeting it was said that the best prevention of these deviant phenomena in society is through education and the promotion of peace and coexistence among all communities, respecting the rights of everyone. Also, the two sides emphasized that regional cooperation is necessary to show success in prevention,” the announcement reads.
