The French Foreign Ministry confirms that the possibility of visa liberalization for Kosovo will be discussed at the summit between the EU and the Western Balkans, on June 23.

The media in Kosovo cite some EU diplomatic sources who say that France, which has taken a stand against liberalization, has given signals that after the parliamentary elections to be held on June 19, “may no longer oppose the decision to liberalize visas for Kosovo ”.

European Parliament on Tuesday called on the EU Council to urgently take the decision on visa liberalization.

Kosovo is the only country in our region that continues to have a visa regime for the Schengen area of the European Union.
