The Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council, Majlinda Bregu has stated that within 2027, roaming tariffs with the European Union will be reduced.

In a post on the social network Facebook, Bregu said that discussions with the EU started today, adding that this initiative will be a relief not only for the citizens of the Balkans, but also those of Europe.

According to Bregu, the average profit margins from the sale of roaming services reach up to 700%.

“The next goal that we are trying to make a reality all together, is to reduce roaming tariffs with the European Union by 2027. In order to bring significant benefits not only to the citizens of the Western Balkans when traveling to the European Union, but also to European citizens, who travel, partner and do business in the Western Balkans. Average profit margins from the sale of roaming services reach up to 700%. I am confident, and I also wish, that these will remain in the past “, said Bregu.
