The Ambassador of North Macedonia Dancho Markovski has expressed the opinion that the EU integration process of North Macedonia should continue jointly with Albania. This statement comes in response to Prime Minister Edi Rama who has previously stated that he will seek separation from North Macedonia, if the issue with Bulgaria is not resolved.

“We want to reach an agreement with Bulgaria on a solid basis, because you know that the process is long and I do not want any problems to remain. Regarding Rama’s statement, I can say that we are making the journey together and at the moment we are together. I think that Albania and RNM have finished their tasks and the process of whether it will be divided or not remains to be seen. “The European Commission has said several times that the conditions have been met but so far they have not kept their word,” he said. Prime Minister Edi Rama has stated that if the European Council does not manage to tear down the wall set by Bulgaria for the Republic of North Macedonia by June, it will insist that Albania be treated separately.
