The German Minister of Defense, Christine Lambrecht, during her visit to Kosovo, was received by Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
In a statement to the media after the meeting, Lambrecht said that stability in the Western Balkans is very important.
She said that Germany offers support to Kosovo also in the military aspect.
“I have assured the Kosovar side that we stand by Kosovo also in terms of military support. We are engaged within KFOR and we will continue our commitment even further”, said the German Minister.
Lambrecht hopes that there will be good decisions in Brussels and Germany will recognize Kosovo documents.

“We will stand by you in the path of Kosovo’s membership process as a supporting partner country, and here it should be made clear what steps are clearly taken in the process of approximation in dialogue and I hope to get a dynamic cloud and I hope there will be good decisions on 13 May in Brussels. The first steps could be the decisions for mutual recognition of documents in this aspect and it would be a good signal”, she said.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Kurti stated that the dialogue process can not move forward until Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic distances himself from Milosevic and Putin.

“Dialogue should result in agreement, but recognition should be at the center of it. I am not saying that recognition should be the only element of the agreement, but recognition should be at the center. There will be other elements, but those elements do not make sense without recognition… We must move forward, and to move forward the president of Serbia must distance himself from Milosevic and Putin” he said.
