Kurti: Kosovo-Serbia dialogue to focus on mutual recognition

Prime Minister Albin Kurti asked the Chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz, to push forward the visa liberalization process for the citizens of Kosovo.
In a joint press conference, the head of government said that the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue should be focused on mutual recognition between the two countries.
“Kosovo is proactive and constructive in dialogue, bringing proposals in line with EU values. The dialogue should be focused on mutual recognition, ie not on a recognition that comes at the end of a long process, but as a dialogue with mutual recognition at the center. Our view and conviction is that mutual recognition should be at the center and not the bottom. “We are committed to move fast and have concrete results and cooperate a lot,” he said.
Speaking about visa liberalization, he said that “enough is enough” and that the same should happen for Kosovo.
Before the German Chancellor, Kurti demanded that Kosovo’s independence be recognized by the five non-recognizing EU countries.
