Kurti demands recognition of Kosovo from Athens, head of Greek office: Greece a sincere friend of Kosovo

Prime Minister Albin Kurti has demanded from Greece to recognize Kosovo’s independence at a meeting with the head of the Greek Liaison Office in Kosovo, Heleni Vakali.
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti received in an introductory meeting the head of the Greek Liaison Office in Kosovo, Mrs. Heleni Vakali. As he welcomed Mrs. Vakali, Prime Minister Kurti stressed the very good relations between the two countries and the opportunities for their deepening through increased trade exchanges and increased economic cooperation and investment. “Prime Minister Kurti demanded that Greece join most European Union countries and recognize Kosovo’s independence,” the statement said.
In a press release, the Prime Minister’s Office announced that during the meeting, Ambassador Vakali said that Greece, although still not recognizing Kosovo’s independence, has managed to develop bilateral relations.
“Ambassador Vakali said that she is honored for the task she has taken and that Greece is a sincere and strong friend of Kosovo. Although it still does not recognize the independence of Kosovo, Greece has managed to develop bilateral relations without any problems, said Mrs. Vakali. She was impressed with the great potential that Kosovo has and the opportunities that exist for bilateral cooperation. “The ambassador praised the government’s commitment to democratic values and results in the fight against corruption.”
Prime Minister Kurti and Ambassador Vakali agreed that they should continue joint projects in education and culture and in the next organization of the economic forum.
