Croatian President Milanovic: “Kosovo should join NATO”

Croatian President Zoran Milanovic was also present at the extraordinary NATO Summit held in Brussels on the war in Ukraine.
After the summit, in a press release, Milanovic stressed that the situation in the Western Balkans was also discussed at the summit, adding that Bosnia and Herzegovina was mentioned as a country endangered as a result of tensions, while the issue of Pristina and the situation with Belgrade were not discussed.
On the other hand, Milanovic stated that at the Summit he proposed Kosovo’s membership in NATO.
“I have proposed the integration of Kosovo to become a stronger state,” he said.
“The region was mentioned, Bosnia and Herzegovina as a country that is allegedly endangered, Moldova, Georgia, but Serbia and Kosovo were not mentioned,” said Milanovic, adding: “Serbia is in Central Europe, after a few days they have elections and I have the impression that it is in an identity crisis for a long time and that it is difficult. Serbia is a partner in NATO, just like Bosnia. “There has to be a clear Western perspective. It’s important to be clear in this situation, so if you understand – you understand, if you do not understand – you do not understand,” Milanovic said. As for Kosovo, he said that four members have not yet recognized the Republic of Kosovo.
