Kosovo-Serbia dialogue / PM Kurti shows readiness, experts call for coordination between Germany and France

Continued international efforts and pressure resulted in only two meetings between Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.
For the head of the Government of Kosovo, the meeting with the Serbian side is not a problem this year either, but Kosovo is determined in terms of dialogue frameworks.
On the other hand, the German expert on developments in the Balkans, Bodo Weber, hopes that 2021 will be a year of new developments in dialogue.
Weber urges EU countries to increase coordination on policies in the Balkans, the Telegraph reports.
“Serious negotiations are needed between Berlin and Paris to eliminate their differences over enlargement, because without this we will not have the United States as a major player in the region. “I expect the negotiations between Kosovo and Serbia to be resumed, but this will be in the context of the start of EU enlargement,” said Weber.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Kurti has expressed readiness for Kosovo to reach a final agreement with Serbia within 2022.
