The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borell stated that Belgrade and Pristina should return to dialogue because this is the only way according to him to stabilize the situation.

“The situation has calmed down recently, but it is still necessary to return to dialogue because there is no other way to stabilize the situation,” Borell said.

His statement came after the second meeting of the NATO alliance held in Riga, regarding the situation in the Western Balkans.

He further said that the Western Balkans remains a strategic region for the European Union.
