Lajcak: Leaders of Kosovo and Serbia have expressed readiness to continue the negotiation process

EU Commissioner for Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue Miroslav Lajcak after his meetings in Pristina on Thursday said that the leaders of Kosovo and Serbia have expressed readiness to continue the negotiation process for the normalization of relations between the two countries. But the most important thing is to ensure results from this process, Lajcak said. The EU Commissioner for Dialogue is convinced that there is room for progress in this dialogue, of strategic importance to the entire European Union. Miroslav Lajcak stayed in Kosovo on Thursday evening after a visit to Belgrade, where he met with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic. In Pristina, Lajcak met with Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani and Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
His visit to Belgrade and Pristina is the next attempt to organize a new meeting between Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic. “It is not a question of meeting, because the leaders have met twice, but as you know there have been no positive results. This time, our ambitions are different and it is not only about organizing the meeting, but also about reconciling, what will be the result “, said Miroslav Lajçak after the meeting he had with the Prime Minister Albin Kurti, hoping that a meeting between Kurti and Vuicic will be held before the end of the year.
