The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti has reacted to Serbia after the latter banned the participation of Kosovar boxers in the World Boxing Championship in Belgrade. Through a Twitter post, Kurti called on the European Union to condemn Belgrade’s discriminatory action.

“Serbia must show its strength in the boxing ring, not at the border. Their decision not to allow our athletes to enter the 2021 World Boxing Championship is a violation of international sporting norms. I call on the EU and the international community to condemn this violation and discriminatory action,” writes Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
