After 13 years since applying in 2011, Kosova’s Constitutional Court has been granted full membership in the Conference of European Constitutional Courts (CECC), marking a historic milestone for the country’s constitutional system and its integration into the European judicial network. 

The decision was confirmed during the preparatory meeting of the Presidents’ Circle for the 20th CECC Congress, held today in Tirana. The meeting was organized under the presidency of Albania’s Constitutional Court, which leads the CECC for the 2024-2027 period and will host the 20th Congress in May 2027. 

The event brought together presidents and representatives from 32 CECC member courts.
