Seventeen Projects Approved by Interreg Greece-Albania Monitoring Committee

The Monitoring Committee for the “Interreg VI-A Greece–Albania 2021–2027” program held its third meeting in Korça. Committee members, the managing authority, the Joint Secretariat, and the State Agency for Strategic Programming and Aid Coordination attended.

Eridana Çano, the Agency’s general director, stressed each member’s role in selecting project proposals. She emphasized the need to align choices with the program’s goals and Albania’s development priorities.

The first call for proposals offered a budget of €17 million. Interest exceeded this by more than ten times. This showed strong commitment from partners on both sides of the border to work together on joint projects.

The Committee unanimously approved 17 project proposals.

This marks an important step to boost cross-border cooperation, support sustainable regional development, and increase the positive impact of EU funds locally and nationally.
