Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Igli Hasani welcomed staff members from the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives to the Ministry, thanking them for a constructive exchange during their visit. The delegation was part of the Atlantic Council’s “Balkans Forward Congressional Fellowship” program.

The discussion focused on Albania’s latest developments, the country’s Euro-Atlantic path, and the broader regional context in the Western Balkans. Hasani highlighted the strategic importance of the United States in the region.

He underlined that “promoting stability and sustainable development in the region remains essential, benefiting both the Western Balkans and the U.S.”

“Through this,” he added, “we strengthen transatlantic security, enhance regional resilience against malign influence, and expand opportunities for economic cooperation across the Atlantic”.
